How do you configure flight gear?
ie, how do you set up controllers and buttons?

Alright then how do I get it to stop panning? It wont stop panning around the aircraft, as if their is a phantom button that is stuck...

I would guess it's from the number lock being on or off.
If that doesn't fix the problem, try disconnecting your joystick to determine if that is the cause.
If it is, then I'm guessing that your hat switch, or other button that controls view panning, needs to be disabled.
