Mine is downloading at the moment. If initial findings are correct then for grins i'll just put it on my xbox as its a game and not a sim. Im sure the terrain will look quite stunning on a 65" with DLP ;D

Time for a sensible question. Does anyone know where Flight is installed? I can't seem to find it on my hard drive. :-?

That question came up elsewhere and that person said it loads to whatever your MS Live accounts are directed to. Or something like that.

Same place as where FS9 and FSX are installed.

And yes, you can uninstall it... Either through GFWL or Add/Uninstall software.

No Steve, there is an uninstall button, I just wanted to see what format the A/C are in. ;)

Also, a quick comparison.

FSX: Thousands of freeware & payware aircraft.

Flight: 2 Freeware & 2 payware aircraft.

Thanks for the heads-up machineman. The layout of the Flight folder is like this:

\Microsoft Flight\Core\SimObjects\Airplanes. All there is inside the Airplanes folder is an Airplane.dll.

Uh, didn't Flight just get released? Not sure what your point is with that comparison.

Most of the other simulators had a few dozen aircraft at release... This is very low for the series (if it is still relateable to the series).

Also all of the other simulators in the series had a SDK so third-party developers could make aircraft for them. Microsoft appears to have cut the third-party out of the loop in flight.

I've played Flight a bit more now, & while it's fun it won't replace FSX.

Also MS are selling a Mustang for 640 MS Points that doesn't even have a VC. People wouldn
