Beta released

The latest and discontinued 'Flight' Game from Microsoft -

I'd like to clarify one thing...

People knowing that you're a part of the beta is not a major concern. In fact, it's not even hidden at all. If you're using a Windows/Xbox LIVE account to sign in (that's not news, it was mentioned months ago) then the Microsoft Flight Beta, including your aeroplane and mission, show up on your recently played games. So anyone on your friends list can see what you're up to. So I don't believe they're concerned about the confidentiality of who is playing the beta...

...However, discussion of the beta content is not permitted. There are official channels to report problems and to discuss changes in the game. SimV, Avsim, Youtube, Vimeo, etc, are not places. For the record, the videos have been spotted and have either been removed by the user or deleted because of copyright infringement against Microsoft.

So as I said earlier, the beta is out... But no questions, please.

I admit, I did the ground breaking on this hole. But lets just leave it at that? You'll appreciate it a lot more to see the game in its completed form.

To those of you who have already downloaded the beta, how big was the download?

I just checked, and I can say this: About 1.2GB, but it has to go through Windows LIVE, so it takes some decent time.

What are you not understanding? Simviation has specifically asked beta testers to not discuss Flight. If you want to break the NDA, leave Simviation out of it.
the file size has already been released. Ps can't wait to see how your 172 turns out!

And again, even saying that you have the beta is breaking The non disclosure agreement. So if I were you, I would stop there

The actual NDA for flight can be found here:

http://pastebin.com/uKhja5Sq

(The NDA is not confidential, and besides, I'm not under NDA).

What about talking about commonly known things if you're not under NDA?

Well the NDA is an agreement with you and Microsoft. So long as you didn't agree to anything with Microsoft, you're probably not under agreement over anything. That said, any information would've been leaked by someone who was a part of that NDA, so it is probably best not to share it anyway. A lot of information gets leaked over most software and projects, I know.

Also, C130, the game shows up on your LIVE account page and it is freely viewable by the entire world. If Microsoft were concerned with people knowing who was involved in the beta, they wouldn't do this. It is more about what people are doing than whom  :)
