Microsoft Flight Event

The latest and discontinued 'Flight' Game from Microsoft -

Microsoft Flight Event

Postby pete » Sat Dec 17, 2011 12:25 pm

Well, on December 13th I and a few other people involved in MSFS, visited the Microsoft Games studios in Redmond to meet the MS Flight team, discuss the past and future and to experience and be told about the upcoming game. Impressive place I have to say. And a very professional team.

At this stage the information I learned is strictly confidential.

However in early January we will be will be given the go ahead to release more details.

Are there going to planes that we can fly? jk  :D

In all seriousness if you say that the group is a professional and well structured I expect nothing but a great game from them. look forward to when you can tell us about the game.

It seems promising that MS had invited some people involved with freeware along. Can't wait to hear more.

Pete has had to go through security checks that make Area 51 look like Club Med!
He REALLY can't tell us anything, not even the mods. I personally respect his integrity for being a man of his word.
Believe me when I say that the moment M$ give Pete the word he can talk about what he has seen he'll share it with all of us here ;)
Personally I can feel the excitement building 8-)

Say "yes" or "no" in Morse code to tell us if it's Hawaii-only.

Yes = long, short, long, long, short, short, short, short

No = Long, short, long, long, long.

I only want to know one thing.
Will FLIGHT have an SDK? That's the only reason I will or will not get a copy of it...

I agree, I think it's a really good sign that they're letting people like Pete in on the development of the new sim, and I'm really looking forward to hearing what he has to say about it! :)

There was a job application many months back looking for someone to lead the development of an SDK for Flight. After some hunting, I found the contents of the application:
