I was gonna do that, but then I figured most had already found it.

The screenshot I am especially impressed with is Number 2. There are not only tree shadows, but shadows on the trees!  :o

Screenshot 3 looks like it was taken from a FPS.  If that's the quality that Flight is going with, I hate to think what kind of system you're gonna need to run it.  I recently bought a dual-core, and I have serious doubts about whether or not it can even try to run this sim.  These are no doubt the best I have ever seen from a sim, but as the past two installments of FS have shown: the package never quite delivers on the actual product.

Looking at the updates and reading the press releases I admit I am excited to see what flight will be. Personally I feel if they make the product more entry level for the enthusiast they will appeal to a larger audience.

Havent been simming much recently, I am ready for the next generation of simulators....

Anyone notice the news post? finally shot down the "Mandatory-online" rumour. Thank goodness!

yay cool! no mandatory online!

but still... i've been flying with Tileproxy for the past few weeks, and i'm finding it hard to find that even the best that stock FSX can do still doesn't beat a streaming photoreal setup even in less than optimal conditions....

i have in highest hopes that Flight would at least include an openStreetmap integration feature to properly represent scenery at locations....
the "regular" scenery just seems cartoony and unsatisfying for me... even with autogen on full blast (which, in FSX, is nigh impossible without a multi-thousand-buck rig, even today)

Flight is looking damn good so far... but the screenies always do... then you get in there and find you need to dl' gigabytes worth of scenery to get something nice to look at out the cockpit...

i think i'm proxy-spoiled...  ;D

Well, given that the goal is to have a sim that will still be "playable" without being connected to the internet, any such "streaming scenery" is highly unlikely!  ::)
