I would bet money it will have an offline feature. Every single release of Flight Simulator has had an offline mode. No reason not to continue that pattern.

True, but the focus of M$ Flight is On-Line.  The MSFS was pc with on-line option.  M$Flight seems to be On-Line, with a question mark behind the "off line/PC" option, aside from the question about the DRM, and the restrictions that may be imposed.

We know it will be for PCs - Installed on PC either by download or by buying the boxed version at a store. What we don't know is whether or not it will have an off line feature. It would seem really silly not to have one, as developers wouldn't be able to test their add-ons and such in private. They are obviously focusing more on online flying with this new version, but I'm sure there will be a free flight option without flying in multiplayer. Lets hope this is so!

Hummmmm..... why are you assuming that "developers" that are not approved by Microsoft will be ABLE to develop anything for it?  There already were some hints that add-on content might have to all be "approved" by Microsoft?

Hoping this is not the case.

best,

IIRC even Steam has an offline mode so I can't see Flight not having that option although I suspect that just like Steam on-line validation will be required on first use.
