Hi guys. I was curious as how I could find the info concerning how to manually start the Augusta Westland EH-101 helicopter in FSX Acceleration . I can push ctrl+e, but I want to learn the manual way, that is the correct way. I have tried elsewhere to find it but no luck. Appreciate any help I can get. Thank you.

I apologize, I just received this second hand, I'm a newb, so please bear with me. Are you are referring to the manual in FSX/Learning Center/Augusta Westland Flight Notes/Engine start up? I do not see the manual start up procedure in there. It does say to use the fuel valve switch. My order is this: battery-- all engines on--APU switch on--APU set to bleed--(fuel switches on)master start--gen 1--gen 2-- switch APU to engines. i know I'm doing something wrong due to the warning lights, but I haven't found the correct procedure yet. Good thing I have the FSX set to easy or I would have destroyed that helicopter.

I can't say for certain..... but at the start of one of the default mission featuring the EH-101 they gave you the option to either use auto-start, or have the co-pilot walk you through the start-up.

Correction on start up procedure.(again my best guess..)
(1)Toggle Battery Switch On
(2)Ignition (Knob) Switches On 1,2,and 3
(3)Toggle Fuel Valve Control Switches On 1,2,and 3
(4)Toggle APU 1 Switch On
(5)APU Start Switch (Button) On
(6)Toggle APU Bleed Air Source to Bleed
(7)Toggle Master Start On
(8)Toggle Generator 1 On
(9)Toggle Generator 2 On
(10)Toggle APU Bleed Air Source Set to Engines
(11)Toggle APU 1 Switch to Off
Warning light on Rotor RPM stays on until Engines stabilize.

After some time off I have returned to my simulator and anxious to fly again. I have yet to find the proper manual startup procedure for the AugustaWestland AW101(correction from EH101) helicopter. My "guess" is all I have which seems to work so far but I would appreciate any help on the location of the actual startup method as though I was attempting to fly the actual aircraft. Thank you for any assistance.

Thank you FoxThree for your assistance but I have went through the mission and the procedure you mention is there, but it doesn't go into detail on how to do a complete startup. Most of the switches and toggles are already on and the lesson is a partial startup. [quote]I can't say for certain..... but at the start of one of the default mission featuring the EH-101 they gave you the option to either use auto-start, or have the co-pilot walk you through the start-up.

The lesson manual only seems to mention auto start or turning fuel on if you have shutdown.

Look at the overhead panel in VC view, there are 3 ignition switches, you may have to use them.

I looked at the payload mission and to me it doesn't tell you anything about engine starting, a co pilot saying 'start engine 1' doesn't tell you anything, I'd be tempted to start a free flight and practice there.

Thank you Lieutenant EVVFCX for your reply. Yes, it seems as though that is my only option for now. I have through trial and error found a routine that seems to work without multiple warning lights on my dashboard. So I will stick with it and continue to search. Thanks again.

Well, it seems I have located the startup checklist procedure in the kneeboard(Shift+F10). I was so immersed in finding it elsewhere online I neglected to look right under my nose.  :-[  Thanks to everyone that attempted to help me. It is very appreciated.
