FSX loading Problem
I'm having problems loading the FSX Acceleration to my new PC which has Win7 Ultimate 64 Bit OS. When inser the disk, here's what's happening:
An Autoplay Window appears with the following information:
FSX Logo showing - DVD RW DRIVE (F) FSX X Pack
Check Box - Always do this for software and games.
Install or run program from your media.
FSX Logo showing - Run setuo.exe.
Published by Microsoft Corporation.
General Options.
Open folder to view files using Window Explorer.
View more Auto play options in Control Panel.
When i click on Run setup.exe. the following window appears:
The application has failed to start because its side by side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application even log or use the command line systrace.exe tool for more details.
When I click on the General Options - open when I folder to view files, I start hearing some kind of crackling noise coming from the drive. I did this a couple of times with two different optical drives and it did the same thing. I know there is nothing wrong with the drives because I've used them to load other programs with no problem. Is it possible that I have a bad FSX Acceleration disk?
