so my problem is this...when I manually add new scenery, I follow this route: FSX Settings=>Scenery Library => Add Area=> Add-On Scenery => Scenery => In the scenery folder, all my Add-On files appear. However, when I click on each individual file, only some folders show a link in the Directory box. Example: KNKX_ADE__TM Miramar shows up in directory, and can be added. Click on "TNCM_ADEX_J" though, and nothing pops up in the Directory box, and the folder is empty. What am I doing wrong, or is the file simply incompatible/corrupted? I am trying to add St Maarten, Santa Ana, Patuxent NAF, and Quantico MCAS.

The "Read Me" files have the installation instructions.  I followed them and had no problems.

Have you compared the problem folders with the ones that work? From the included Readme instructions some of these files are configured to install directly to the FSX\Addon Scenery\scenery subfolder which is activated by default. This method means that they don't need activating again via the FSX Scenery Library.

If you prefer to activate each area separately make sure that all BGL files are configured in a subfolder named Scenery inside a suitably named parent folder . For example: TNCM_ADEX_J\Scenery

You might give this a try:

http://fstipsandaddons.com/tutorials/in ... y-fsx.html
or
http://forum.simflight.com/topic/63171- ... windows-7/

You can find other examples by typing in "fsx add scenery click on blank space" into google.

I cannot remember the specifics and so cannot tell you this will solve your issue, but I got some pay scenery that would not show up a while ago and this fix did the trick.

Also, and this may be overkill, but I always go to whatever folder fsx stuff is installed and, using admin mode, give full permission/rights to the folder. Doing that fixed other issues I previously ran into. Hope it helps.
