I have just bought the Justflight BBMF package for FS2000 and FS2002. Aswell as FS2002 I have FSX too.
I was just wondering is there a converter you can download on the net which will enable me to convert and put the BBMF planes in FSX ? Any info would be appreciated
Best Regards
Eddie

As far as I know, there is no "converter". Add-ons from FS2K probably won't work, some FS2K2 may work, but will most likely have gauge problems. The only way to find out is to add them in one at a time, and see what happens. (I don't think I'd bother trying the FS2K add-ons).

Your best bet, if you want to use the package, is to get FS 2004 (its quite cheap now), and your FS 2000/FS 2002 package should run fine, and you get the improved scenery, etc, of FS 2004.
Only models specifically designed for FSX are really suitable for use in FSX.

It's really iffy. I've only tested the default FS2002 aircraft, and I've had mixed success. You will have to port over gauges and effects, but it should work. What it really comes down to is the model. If the model doesn't work, it's not worth porting over.

Thankyou for your replies. Just wondering what files would you have to edit in order to get the model to work i.e. aircraft.cfg what parameters would I have to alter in that file ? Would I have to download a FSX Spitfire panel from this website and delete the old panel, also same for the Hurricanes and Dakota etc download an FSX Hurricane or Dakota etc Panel, or could i use the existing one ? Is there a relevant thread on here someone could direct me to ? In order to enable me to get the BBMF Aircraft to work, so people dont have to repeat themselves ?
Best Regards

Judging by the specification here...>>>
http://www.justflight.com/product/battl ... ial-flightCompatibility: Flight Simulator 2002, Combat Flight Sim 2, Flight Simulator 2000.
..I suspect that you will have to use your version of FS 2002 to be able to use them successfully.
Many of the gauges, etc, will be required from FS 2002.
FS 2xxx is programmed differently to FSX, and many items are not compatible/interchangeable...

Hi Eddie. Please listen to Fozzer. There is no way to convert these aircraft to work in FSX.

Thanks for youre help, Just wondering are there any programs which will allow me to get the BBMF Scheme textures, on the aircraft I downloaded from this website for FSX ? I downloaded a Spitfire tropical VB and a Spitfire XIX is there any way i can use the PM631 S Scheme and PS915 UM-G scheme also AB910's ZD-C scheme ? I have a payware Hurricane addon from "First class solutions" for FSX I would love to use LF363's US-C Scheme and PZ865's Q scheme on the hurricane addons. Or is there any free textures of BBMF Aircraft markings on the internet i could download ? Any info and help would be appreciated
Regards Eddie

Addon textures are pretty much talored to a specific .mdl file, so a texture for an ALPHA B-52 will not work on the GMAX B-52, for example. Your best bet would be to download DXTBmp, which opens the various texture .bmps or FSX .dds' and converts them to an editable format that you "send" to a graphics program, like PhotoShop or Paintshop. That way you can use an original texture of a particular aircraft as a guide and create your own textures for that particular aircraft.

Hi There,
I looked at a Tutorial on youtube on how to get textures on a desired aircraft, after I looked for Dxtbmp on the net after the previous post thanks for that by the way. I managed to get the following two bbmf schemes on the Hurricane IIC i have in flight Sim X. Does anyone know how I can modify the aircraft.cfg file or anything else to get the schemes in the right places on the Aircraft ? Any info would be appreciated the two pictures are linked below. I am expecting similar problems with the BBMF Spitfire Schemes
akin to what i am getting in the two pictures below :-

You've done well to get this far but no amount of CFG tweaking will line those textures up. It's not possible to simply swap textures from one model to another. You have to use the original textures of the aircraft you're repainting as templates for the new ones. Unless you're handy with a graphics editor this might not be too easy.

It's difficult to help without knowing which aircraft you have. I'm guessing your repainted textures were saved in the wrong texture format, under the incorrect file names* or missing altogether.
*They're not case-sensitive but the repainted texture names must otherwise be exactly the same as the originals.
I tried the PRXIX from here.
http://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1&keywords=1Spit19&x=21&y=15As an experiment I renamed the texture named Spit19Fuse.bmp to xSpit19Fuse.bmp. This is the result in FSX.

I guessed that. Please check the points I mentioned.
I can't help any more without the old Justflight BBMF package you're using.
