DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THERE WILL BE ANY CONFLICTS BETWEEN FSX AND THE NEW WINDOWS-8 COMING OUT OCT.26?

There's a response to my graphics enquiry in the Hardware forum from F35Lightning, reads "Don't worry about FSX not working on Win8. I currently use Win8 Release Preview as my main OS and FSX runs just fine."

Other questions still remain though, for example my Matrox DualHead2Go software which implies that it is only for WinXP or below.

Installed FS9 again after impossible install problems

Hi.
In november I upgraded from XP to Win8. For a week and a half now I have tried to install FSX De Luxe. The install halts at the end. I have reinstalled both Win8 (clean, as well as keeping files) several times to no avail. And yet it ran well, and installed well, in WinXP.

I have searched the forums. I have found one person with the same issue and same error messages, but he ran Win7. After he reinstalled Win7, FSX installed. Not in my case though.

I have since installed the demo version of FSX: Installs and runs OK, but I can't tweek it into accepting SP1 and SP2. Now I have given up most hopes for Win8 and FSX, since there is no help to get from Microsoft, they don't hardly answer.

So installed FS9 again. With a lower resolution it runs well. But I am disappointed that the last (and very nice) OS Win8 can't cope even with installing the Microsoft program FSX.
