Can't find lat and long going back to fs map

Postby setupcity » Sat Oct 13, 2012 1:22 pm

There is probably something simple I am missing. I am programming the fmc from a tutorial flight for the Wilco Citation. For ex., From Manchester, I am entering "Hon", and go back to flight planner, zoom in on Hon, and you are supposed to get the lat and long when you click on it. This was an easy guess as it had to be the one near 52*, but I could not bring up the exact lat and long as per the tutorial. It was frustrating as I must have spent anhour trying to do this. I tried any number of combinations of the preference keys at the top, can someone tell me what I am doing wrong.   Thanks, jeff

Zoom in and click on the airport should bring up the airport info panel.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

or, you can go into FSX and slew right in the middle of the airport and press shift+z once and it will give you the Long/Lat.
In the FMC, you should just be able to put in the VOR name
