Trouble with starting helos

I'm new here and this may have been addressed already but I haven't found anything in the searches.
I'm having issues starting helos in FSX. I have Gold with Acceleration. I can start the R22 with Ctrl E and fly with no problem. The Augusta begins the start process with Ctrl E but I must manually start the fuel (ctrl shft f4 doesn't work). I can't do anything with the Jet Ranger (it flies fine in missions with the engine already running). The Jet Ranger only turns on the battery with Ctrl E. I've also downloaded a supercobra that just sits there no matter what I do.
Is this a software issue where a .cfg file needs to be located and allowed to rebuild or should I just kill all helos and stick to fixed wing?
Thanks in advance.

Ctrl E isnt the best thing to do.... The jet ranger there is a URL valve switch, flip that up and it fires up for some reason... :-/

is that the red switch on the bottom right of the panel? That one is titled as fuel pump.
Am I missing something?
Oh and thanks for the help.

well danged if the slew didn't work. the jet ranger starts up allows landing, engine off, and restart. go figure...
I have downloaded a super cobra and can get it started using the slew but as soon as I set her back on the tarmac the engine dies until I slew her back in the air.
I guess this is the best i'm gonna get.
Thanks for the help folks.

Hi & welcome to the forum. This might depend on your default flight. Have you changed it? How did you shut down the engine(s)?
I must admit that I don't usually fly helicopters & know very little about them. However, I find them much easier to fly in FSX than previous versions of MSFS.
I've never experienced the problems you describe as I use the original FSX default flight settings with the engines already running when the flight loads. I tried shutting down the engine on the Jet Ranger with Ctrl+Shift+F1 & restarted it with Ctrl+E with no problem. I then selected the Agusta with the same result. This was on Hard realism settings.
I hope this is some help.

if nothing works and you don't have too many addons installed, you might want to try a fsx reinstall
