Aircraft Jerky Motion

I got a 3.2 Gig processor and have a Radeon HD 6670 video card. I've got most of my settings to max or near max. I got my frame rate set at Unlimited. I installed a new monitor (Viewsonic VA2431WM). I've noticed lately that when viewing at the aircraft, the aircraft seem to do jerking motion particularly when flying jet fighters. Which setting to I have to adjust in order to get rid of this phenomenon?

Do you mean your frame rates are dropping?  Does the problem go away if you reduce your settings?

Are you running a single core processor?  If so, given those hardware specs, I would be surprised to see FSX run smoothly with all settings near max.  One thing, is get an external frame rate limiter, or use the FSX one and set a lower frame rate.  Also, when you installed the new monitor, your system may have selected a higher resolution screen size automatically, which could slow the system.

My processor is an AMD Phenom II X4 955. As recommended by Viewsonic I have my resolution set at max (1920 by 1080, 60 Hz). However I believe I have the problem resolved. I found my FSX resolution setting set at 1920 x 1080 x 16. I now set it at 1920 x 1080 x 32. I still have all my graphic and scenery setting set at max and my my frame rate is set to unlimited. I am no longer experiencing the aircraft jerking motion and everything seemed much improved. So far so good. Thanks guys.
