Vistaliners 737 Classics with Alrots VC?

Postby reachva » Thu Apr 26, 2012 1:49 am

Greetings all,

I've lately been going through my files on my storage hard drive and found the Vistaliners Boeing 737-300, -400 and -500 series models that I had there which I'm pretty sure I downloaded from here. They do look pretty nice but they do lack a VC. I checked the model in notepad and apparently these ones were compiled with the FSX SDK (they do have MDLXMDLH" in the model file) but whenever I try to merge it with the default 737s VC the whole model disappears except for the lights which apparently only happens if the model wasn't compiled for FSX.

Does anybody have any clue what I might be missing out here?

Can you give a link to an example?

I am not aware of any Vistaliners FSX native 737 model (or any Vistaliner with FSX native model)

As you will know you can't add a FSX VC to a non FSX model. You can only add the 2d panel.

That's what has me confused as it is an FS2004 model but has the FSX SDK tag and not the FS2004 one.

http://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1 ... nk&x=0&y=0 It's that one along with the -400 and -500. They all have the FSX SDK tag (or at least, the versions I downloaded have).

Are you sure about that? I downloaded the file from your link to check it out. This is the first part of the MDL file header in Notepad.

Definitely FS2004 as are all the other Vistaliner 737s I've checked.

huh now I look at them you're right, it's the FS2004 format. Must have opened the default 738 in it instead originally as I had both windows open at the same time.

Suppose I'll just have to wait for a good 737 classic (or even better a proper FSX compatible Fairchild Metroliner or Piper cheiftan/navajo with VC.
