The Skyraider comes a couple different ways as far as liveries go,but,of the liveries, only one works the other doesn't. Examples below..

Ok Above is the good. Same file, select different livery and you get this.....

Why does one work within the file but not the other? it all went in at the same time......Odd. Is there a fix?
Confused..

Mike it helps if you always specify the file you are talking about with a link to the page where it is downloadable from ....
Are you talking about this one?

Are the texture.cfgs alias to the right place?

That's what I was thinking.
If they do & it still doesn't work you could copy the textures from the paint that works to the one that doesn't. Don't overwrite any textures though.

I don't think that's the one, since the liveries aren't the same--at least according to the thumbnails in the file.
Mike, it looks like one is corrected for FSX and the other still has the original FS9 files. Take the prop and canopy glass textures from the one that works and use them in the one that doesn't. Or you can reverse the alpha channel on the ones that don't work. That will fix them. If you don't know how to do that, then the first option is probably the easiest.

Both are made by Piglet and are native FSX.
The only freeware Skyraider with a virtual cockpit for FS9 had 2D gauges, and I don't remember if it was working in FSX...
The problem is quite clear -> the texture.cfg files are missing from the texture.*\ folders for that plane. You just need to put one inside.

Pete, your right. I jumped the gun. I should of linked the file(s). I'm deleting them both as I don't remember and starting from scratch. I am going to load what you linked and what you linked only and see what happens. The other I had on my old HD and couldn't tell you where I got it from (camo version). I'll be back, sorry for the confusion.

Ok.So i deleted everything I had and went off of the link provided above as a fresh start. My apologies for not providing a link and or links prior. Here is my result..
The 1st two are of VA-176

The second, VA-25. The other livery provided with said above link.............

Now....What do I need to do to fix this, and to add to the liveries should I so desire? Again sorry for not linking. I did get the above link from here but don't remember where I got the other as it was on my old HD. Prolly my dad when he was getting stuff from another sim site. (we shared AC for a bit).
Apologies
Mike

Mike,
Read the readme.txt, instruction 6.
He recommends copying the 'common files' to the other texture.x folder(s) rather than just adding texture.cfg files.
This is due to a bug in fsx when calling the common files. If you'd rather use the texture.cfg method to save disk space I can explain the fix, though I believe that most/all of the repaint texture downloads for this aircraft contain all the textures.

Thanks. I'll fix it sometime today. 98% of the time I just load what i'm supposed to where I'm supposed to as I've done it for so long without the use of the read me file. Guess this is one of those I should of read :-/. Thanks again to everyone for their input.
