I have some planes where I need to make some points for where I can place payload. currently in the aircraft, there is only 1 point where I can go into the sim settings and adjust the payload.

With this, it is impossible to balance the aircraft in a way where I can have a heavy payload, and still balance the plane good enough to fly.

So. I understand there are points within the aircraft.cfg file to add some extra compartments where I can place cargo.

I am no professional by any means for editing the .cfg.

I have a very basic knowledge of this 

I understand that I can insert a point x feet back, and y feet to the left (or right)

But that is about the limit to my knowledge.

how does this work? is there any simple way anyone can explain this? Does it work from the center of the plane where -2 is 2 feet back from the center of gravity? Or center of the plane? or 2 feet back from the front of the plane?

As you can see I have no idea on how this works.

What are the simplest parameters of which I can use to make this as easy for myself as possible?

Also, what are the points within the cfg that I should be editing?

Changing the datum point to correct the centre of gravity.

In my case the nose of my Cessna 150 was too heavy, resulting in a sharp pitch-down on take off, requiring some desperate trimming to raise the nose!
The datum required moving rearwards.
Altering the figures corrected the position of the payload (in the payload diagram) to stabilize the aircraft.

I will try this as soon as I get back to my PC!

I sure hope I can get this sorted out! I would love to try a C-17 on a short strip, whilst at max weight! (while still being balanced properly!)
