Something must be chewing up video memory.

Now when I open any flight, My ATC dialog box has blurred blocks where the text used to be.

Anyone know what causes this?
Thx

Could be your FSX.cfg file got corrupted.
First make a copy of the original and put it in another folder,
then delete the original  and next time you fire up the sim it will write a new one. 90% of the time this fixes quite a few glitchs. If you made any tweeks to your cfg, you can copy and paste those from your original into the newly writen cfg.

Have you changed your antialiasing setting in your video drivers recently ?

I occasionally get those funny effects cropping up in the various bits of coloured text appearing on my FS 2004 screen: (ATC communication, Pause, Brake, etc, reports.)
I find that a quick re-boot, and re-start in the Flight Sim, generally sorts the problem out.... :)...!

Paul....FS 2004... 8-)...!

I used to have a problem with both FS9 and FSX where the font for the ATC window and the tool tips would sort-of unload after a while, inexplicably, leaving me with the "Character does not Exist" boxes. I was able to fix this by simply copying the font that the Flight Simulators use from the FSX folder into the C:\WINDOWS\Fonts folder.
