Welcome to Simviation
Are you using the keyboard or a joystick?

I have a similar problem in my joystic, but the rudder doesn't just jump right, it literally moves all over the place, even without touching the joystick. Sensitivity options do nothing. I had to disable that. And now the elevator axis is doing the same thing only not as bad... My joystick is a Force 3D Pro by Logitech...

First question:
Is this a recent problem, after controlling the Flight Sim successfully in the past, using a Flight Joystick, or Flight Yoke/Rudder Pedals?
Paul.

It is a problem with your joystick (or pedals).
My stick sometimes inputs and holds full left rudder, for no reason at all.

I had a similar problem which I traced back to plugging in my joystick while the computer was running (the missus unplugs it from the front USB to plug in her camera for time to time). I even bought a new joystick before I figured out the problem. I now restart my computer every time I have to plug the joystick back in.

it might be worth uninstalling the joystick, get the latest drivers for your joystick, from logitech get their latest gaming software and look on their website for their joystick utility that shows you the raw values being sent from your joystick, you'll instantly see if it's a purely joystick problem, you can also use same program to modify the values going to the PC.
Do this even if using the microsoft control panel game controller shows no problem
Logitech also have a utility the will clear all joystick values in the registry.
If you can't find it let me know.
with the F-18, lower the launch bar before you reach the cat, you should NOT be able to turn with the launch bar down.
Look for a prop twin with contra rotating props or single engine with 2 contra props, presume it's not torque effect if it's happening on you jets and you have all engines in sync.
@Pete: if you read this, can we legally hold the utilties from logitech on the SV server?
regards
Steve

My Force 3D Pro is kind of like that as well. How long have you had yours for? I've had mine for about 6 months and it's already lost its calibration. I think I might replace it with an Extreme 3D Pro. It doesn't seem to have those problems.

I have one if you want it. Get yourself the Saitek X52 Pro+ Rudder pedals, It works really well, and takes out all of the stuff FSX 'de calibrates'.

I at first suspected my Saitek joystick as well, so I bought a new Logitech to replace it. The new stick had the same exact problems, so I was able to eliminate it as the culprit. For some reason I went back to the ole saying, when all else fails, reboot. Ever since then, no problems. Now if I could just get the missus to quit unplugging my joystick in the first place. She never seems to notice there are two USB plugs on the front of the computer.
