Hi all,
something stange has started the happen in FSX.
The folllowing has happened with 2 different Boeing 737's and a Boeing 767.
When I take off, all is fine, speed etc, then after a couple of minutes the speed shows zero, and the game stops due to overspeed.
On all occasions my speed was set at 250 knots, and on auto pilot.
has this happened to anybody else.

Cheers
MB

even tho you have turned on autopilot and set a speed, you still have to tell the autopilot to control the throttle, on the autopilot panel you should see a AT or A/T switch, this wil allow the autopilot to control N1 settings.

I'll try and grab a screenshot to show you where, meanwhile have a look at the VC at the top of the main instrument panel.

regards

Steve

Are you using real world weather?

It is winter so the cold temps might cause pitot tubes to freeze up causing your airspeed to show as 0.

All you need to do is turn on the pitot heat. :)

Install an OAT (Outside Air Temperature) gauge in your panel.

That will tell you what the outside Temp is.
If its getting cold and damp, turn on the Pitot Heat/Wing Heaters/Carburettor Heat, etc, as necessary.

I always keep a way eye on the temp outside!

Neither me, nor my aircraft, like getting cold and wet!... :'(...!

Paul... :)...!
