There is a little bug...the floats models don't float. You can fix that by replacing the contact points of the aircraft.cfg in the Bell_206B_JetRanger_III_FL folder with:

And for those that want to create some liveries or add specular maps and alpha channels to older FS9 liveries, an official FSX specific paintkit is now available.

Does it have a custom VC, or is it just copy-and-paste from the default?

It's based on the FS2004 version, which had a custom VC, so no reason for it not to have one.
