Please excuse me for asking a stupid question, but how do you start the engines on the MiG-21F-13? Ctrl-E winds them up, but thats it, no ignition. Cockpit switches are in Czech and I cant read 'em.
Its this guy:

This is a realistic plane with a very detailled virtual cockpit and a very detailled startup procedure. This is one of the best freeware planes currently available for FS (9 or X). This is not the kind of plane you want to start with CTRL+E

Here is a video showing the complete startup very clearly:

Yup, took me a while to get this one started as well. Reminds me of the Rollus Mirage in which you couldnt just "CTRL-E" it. Excellent payware quality model... all free!
Great video Daube!

Just to make it clear, this video is not mine.
Glad to see you managed to start it. Now you have two things to be extremely careful with:
- the fuel consumption
- the landing
The fuel consumption is really high in this aircraft. If you want to fly a long distance, the only way is to trigger the full power to climb as fast as possible above 33.000 feet, then try to maintain Mach 1.1 / 1.2 there with normal high power (no afterburner). For example, I could take off from Bardufoss in the north of Norway, and go south to reach northern Germany where I had to land to refuel, then tookoff again to land next to Swizzerland.
Concerning the landing, I prefer to make high approach with high vertical speed, in order to maintain the visibity of the runway.
