How can I delete extra aircraft versions I don't want? I recently downloaded the Buccaneer from here
http://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1 ... er&x=0&y=0 and it comes with what seems like 50 or so variants. I seriously dont need all of them and was wondering if I just delete the texture files of the unwanted ones will that do it, or do I need to go into the aircraft.cfg as well?

I suspect its as simple as deleting the Texture Folders, and then modifying the aircraft.cfg file to delete the unwanted entries, where they appear...[fltsim.x].....

...
Make your preferred ones start from [fltsim.0] onwards...
Paul....I always worry about; "deleting things"...

foz. you are correct in your thinking. Just delete the Texture Folders you dont want, then open your AIRCRAF.CFG for that plane and delete the fltsim.# entry that relates to that texture.
once all of this is done, make certain that your 'fltsim.# start at 0 (zero) and go up sequentially.
BUT!!!!!! DO NOT DELETE ANY OF THE DEFAULT AIRCRAFT, OR DEFAULT AIRCRAFT TEXTURES!!! You will most likely incur some FSX instability if you do, and you will have problems.

Another option which will allow you to easily "re-enable" the aircraft at a later date should you decide to do so is modify the [fltsim.xx] line of the aircraft.cfg file for the texture variation you don't want to use.

Some texture folders are shared and deleting the wrong folder will make the AC not show up or show up incorrectly. Check the texture CFG file to make sure it is not aliased to another. A quick check is to look inside the texture folders starting with the first to see if the quantity of BMPs inside are the same as the others.
