hey ive downloaded and installed some planes and some of them are silent, or I can only hear it in cocpit and not when im in 3rd person. its a problem throghout a lot of ac that ive installed. but some of them have their own sounds and they work fine

one of them that only has interior sounds is the B52 for fsx. and ive installed the b52 panel (which works fine)

There is sounds in the b52/sounds but the exterior sounds just dont seem to work.

ANother plane that doesnt have any sounds inside or out, I think its the mirage 2000 or sumthing.. again, there are sounds in the sound folder but they dont seem to work.

Do I have to put all sounds in fsx/sounds? or what?

A lot of add-ons for FSX are actually for FS9.

exactly what plane(s) are you dealing with, links would have been nice so that we can check them out also to see what the problem is and try to help you figure out a solution.

it could be something as simple as your sound slider is turned down too much on ENGINES, or ENVIRONMENT.

It would help if you can be more specific - a file name or link to the page it's posted on.
I assume you mean this one. http://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1&keywords=B52x.zip&x=12&y=17

The sound doesn't work for me either. I don't know enough about sound files to know why. To fix it you can alias it to an aircraft with its own sound files or find a suitable 3rd party sound package for it.

PS. On further investigation the included sound package seems to be for a twin-engined prop.
