aicarriers2 failed to install

Postby EVVFCX » Mon Jun 20, 2011 4:48 pm

several months ago i installed aicarriers 2 on my win7 64bit system and it was working.

I had to reinstall fsx a few months ago and i've just tried to add aicarriers2 but windows is reporting that the setup.exe is failing to respond part way through installing, it's creating the aicarriers folder even with the error, it's not appearing in fsx's addon menus.

Has anybody else had same problem?, I thought there was a file that had to be edited to show to fsx the path to the airarrier.exe, so it was started when fsx ran? but i'm assuming this isn't being done due it crashing during install.

edit:just noticed there's a manual install.

May the Mynd be with you.
So far my number of landings either passenger or pilot equal my number of takeoffs.

It's sorted, the auto installer is bugged on win 7 now, prob cos of updates and when you do the manual install, the exe.xml notes are wrong for the addon to auto load when you start fsx.

PS: Yes it was uninstalled before I added it again, I do everything in reverse order if I'm uninstalling.
