Is there anyway to make the 747 quiet after shutting off the engines? If anyone's soundpacks do I would really appreciate the name of it and THANK YOU in advance.

Try doing a manual shutdown using the checklist. Also keep the hatch closed.

the noise does not go away, the way you can make sure the plane is not on is by turning the camera to the end and not hearing the sound of forced wind. The residual noise of the airplane will stay no matter what you do. As far as I know there is no sound pack for that, but you should look through the coding of the B737 or A321 and those do not make a noise when off.

I think it has something to do with an APU sound or something along those lines. I have noticed that with most heavy jets, and have just learned to live with it.

I have several planes that do the same thing. After all the moving parts stop, and all the switches are off. Try turning the sound off then back on. I think the default keyboard shortcut is 'Q'. This usually works for my planes. Nothing more annoying then sitting at the gate and hearing that humming noise.
Hope it helps
