Ground Handling??

Postby Zaphod » Mon Jun 06, 2011 10:22 am

Hi all...
Very new to FSX but I'm facinated by the ground handling vehicles that come and unload at larger airports, but how do you tell them to go away when you are ready to leave? I've found the commands for the Jetway and fuel truck but can't get rid of the luggage vehicles. If there's a list of commands it would be really helpfull.

Cheers.

They go away after a while, when your exits are closed. You just need to be patient, usually I just start the plane in the meanwhile.

Never heard of Health and Safety? Very big in the UK ;D
I have found that if you call for the tanker the lugage vehicles go away, but if your not quick they come back!

close the exits, tell the jetway to go away (if able), start your engines, then press Shift+P to start your pushback.  If the ground crew value their lives, they will get the @#$% out of the way.. if not, run the dumb Bast@#ds over. lol      A normal "American turn-around" takes about 40-45 min.  On a quick turn, that is 20-25. Anything less than that, you only had passengers and maybe 10 bags, no fuel....... anything longer than 45 min, you go into "DELAY" status (be it weather, at your station, downrange at the receiving station.. or mechanical failures.)

well, they don't go away by calling fuel trucks, but they start to leave after a while on loading the cargo. Even if you start to backup, they will continue to stay and it looks stupid. My suggestion is to chill, go to the washroom, get food or something and by the time you get back, they will start to go away. Just close the cargo doors and they will not come back until you re-open the cargo doors.
