I was just wondering if I'm the only one out of step but how many of you have FD6 loaded with yur FSX and if you do what do think of the Abacus add-on missions and the quality of their default aircraft?

the quality of all the aircraft, in my opinion, suck! they are all low resolution models (no doubt to save on framerates), and tehy flight dynamics (again only my opinion) are worse than the default aircraft.

Missions are not that bad though, as you do get some decent carriers.

although, if you want better and more carriers, I would suggest running a GOOGLE SEARCH for "AICARRIERS1" (actual file name: aicarriers1.zip -- i think over on flightsim.com) .. you get like 18-20 static, AND MOVING carriers that you can trap and cat from!!!! thats more than I can say about Abacus FD1-6!!!

I downloaded AICARRIERS1 and followed the brief "red me" instructions. Now where do I find it? Is it included in the Flight Planners list? or is it part of the FSX Missions list?
Also I've read the reviews regarding FD6 from three other fltsim forums and they were mostly negative. I think it's time to take FD6, and FD5 off the retail shelves.

I personally would keep FD3-6 just for the carriers.

as far as i know and have read in the README for AI CARRIERS 2... that is so that you can put a carrier anywhere that you want. AICARRIERS 1, puts like 18 carriers static and moving around the world in the areas listed below.

To see boats you need to set up a minimal amount of traffic. They are
currently programmed with 4%, so check that your "Ferries and boats"
traffic setting is greater than this value.

* WHERE CAN I SEE BOATS ?
- Norfolk, VA (two groups, one is ~50 nm away from coastlines, the other
one is leaving the naval station)
- Jacksonville, FL
- Pensacola, FL
- Fort Laurerdale/Miami, FL
- San Diego/Santa Catalina/Los Angeles, CA
- San Diego, CA
- San Francisco, CA
- Puget Sound (near Whidbey Island) WA
- Around Oahu, HI (two groups)
- Atsugi, Japan
- Gulf (Kuwait-Doha)
- Napoli (Italia)
- Toulon (France)
- Brest (France)
- Southampton, around Isle of Wight (UK)
- Barrow-In-Furness (UK)
- Around Diego Garcia (UK)
- Rota (Spain)
- Gwadar/Ormara (Pakistan)

Carriers are the only reason I keep FD6.  I'm glad I found it for cheap on the shelf at BestBuy.

The a/c quality give new meaning to substandard. :(

During flight, push (Shift+J)
This will bring up the AI Carriers menu :)
