I downloaded the add-on aircraft A-6E Intruder however when I press on the my tailhook button, the tailhook will not deploy. I went to the aircraft.cfg and found the following:
[tailhook]
tailhook_length=10.13
tailhook_position=10.5, 0.00, -2.10
cable_force_adjust=1.0
These are similar same files, except for values, that I found in other carrier aircraft but which I had no problem deploying its tailhooks. Is there anything missing?

Have you checked the README in case they've inserted their own command for the tailhook? It may just be linked to a different button set.

There was no READ ME file in the aircraft folder. All my other add on aircraft designed for carrier landings have functional tail hooks.

Hi,
I downloaded an A-6E from fsdownload.com. The cfg data matched yours. Tailhook worked fine but no VC. I used my normal tailhook command. I'm using XP and Acceleration.

In my Control Setting assignment I've assigned the tailhook deployment to button no. 7 in my MS Forcefeedback joy stick. It worked with all my carrier based aircraft except the A-6 Intruder which I downloaded using Simviation.
