On two imported craft, although my sttings are on full screen I only get a 3/4 screen image, the bottom 1/4 of the screen is just a black strip,  all my other imports ( third party downloads) work fine, any comments or help on this please...Cheers and TIA

Open the "panel" folder, then open the "panel.cfg" file, and locate the entry under the [window00],  "render_3d_window=1"  Change the "1" to a "0"

OK, I know eneough about computers to have a go at changing a file, I will give a full report after Ive done this file alteration, followed by a full system reinstall which more than likely will follow a complete format, but rest assured, Ill be back....Cheers

BoilKat, U da Man.....the little alteration did the trick, thank you kindly sir, NOW, dont run away, are  there any more "tweeks" you can think of to make this plane fly normally, at the moment it has a mind of its own,I have very little movement on the tail when I pull the stick back on AB,  she wont take to the big blue yonder as she should, with lack of tail movement on the stick I have to just wait on full AB for a rise in the terain, this does get her of the ground so I can get the gear up, but after a few minutes I loose controll, thats my gripe for the day, but thanks much for your input on the screen, at least one problem has been solved....Cheers

The "render_3d_window=0" is a common occurance on pre-fsx imports.  For your other issues, it would be nice to know which aircraft you are having problems with.

One thing to try, though, os running your elevator trim to "nose up".  I've seen many fs9 imports that seem to default to a "nose down", and it takes forever to get off the ground (unless I remember to trim "nose up").

That sounds logical, ( nose up), can you point me in the right direction to do that, Ive looked in settings but dont see a facility to do that, the plane in question is the one in the image posted by Hagar, the EE lightning, its a little basic in the cockpit display, given time and assistance with panels, etc I,ll get that put right, I just want to make sure she fly,s OK before I "tinker" with anything else

For keyboard trim, using the number pad, use "7" and "1" (7 trims nose down, 1 trims nose up) If you press 7 or 1, and your *view* shifts, toggle you "num lock" key.

Thanks for the info re- the "7" and "1"....I was able to get up in the air ( strait up ) and able to cruise, getting her back on Terra Firma is a whole different story, from my limited knowledge and flight sim experience I have concluded that the problem I have ( control ) is the airlon function on the joystick, its fine with everything else exept this one aircraft, I,m going to do a re- install and see if there are any changes, but thanks boikat, for your invaluable input....Cheers

This will depend on the panel you're using. Sounds like one for FS2002. In the thread you refer to
