An attack of the dreaded blurries

I have photosceney installed on FSX Gold + Acceleration which has never (yet) loaded fast enough to be pin sharp, but at least it was just about acceptable and I am working on adjusting the settings until I get the right one for my system.
The main problem I was having was the further into a flight I went the worse the blurring got, so I am assuming it is a processing problem and I am working on a fix.

All of a sudden though, all I get is dreadfully blurred textures as soon as I move off. I have restated the original FSX.CFG, reduced all the settings, but nothing makes the slightest bit of difference. I have checked and stopped any processes running in the background, but that made no difference either. I'm flumoxed, anyone any ideas?

Flying over default FSX scenery is not as bad, it is not as blurred as the photoscenery, but even so it is not very good, certainly it's unacceptable.

I have frame rates set at 25 now, but prior to that I had them set unlimited and was getting 30- 55 fps over low autogen areas, but dropped to 6-10 over heavily autogened areas.

1.  What OS are you using?

2. RAM and video card info?

3. what scenery are you using (link would be nice)

Sounds to me 1 of the 3 above problems.  Need a new CPU, Vid card settings are a bit off, need more RAM, or the actual "Photo" used in the scenery is blurred, then when moving off of the "picture", things get worse.

can you take a screenshot and show us what you are working with in the sim?

i dont know if this will help, but I too have WIN 7 (i think most everyone does now-a-days) but anyways, i had posted a while back about optimizing Windows around FSX; and while Nick's thoughts did help, I still have some 25 processes that need to be killed for my machine to really be optimized (at least in my eye)..

but here is the link to my post with GroundBound responding with the links....

while some of it did seem more confusing than the XP TWEAK, i guess there is just more CRAP that Micro$oft put into 7 to make it usable.  (go figure)

{gripe = cant build a windows platform that will only run 20 processes, but look and function better than [glow=yellow,2,300]VISTA[/glow].   sheesh....}

I have tried a game booster (Game Booster v 2.2) which closes down programs while the sim is running. It also has a game defrag tool and I have to say it does work for me.

I have tried this sort of tool before and they were either next to useless, or not user friendly, but this one seems OK and you can drag and drop the FSX exe into a box and when you start FSX, Game Booster closes down all unnecessary programs automatically.

I seem to be getting nearly double the frame rates and FSX starts up a lot quicker.
