Installing in second internal hard drive

Postby DigitalWolf » Fri Mar 04, 2011 3:09 pm

I recently bought Fight Simulator X Gold Edition for my computer. I installed deluxe in my second hard drive due to me running out of space on my main hard drive. (I freed some space now for FSX and addons) Flight Simulator X doesn't show up in my Add/Remove Programs menu. Also when I try to install Acceleration it says I need to have an english version of Flight Simulator X installed but it's installed into my second hard drive. Is there a way for me to install it into my second hard drive or is there a program that can remove Flight Simulator X completely and safely from the second so I can install it freshly into the main one? Please help. I'd really like to play this game.

Hi,

Try the first DVD again and see if it gives you a repair, install or remove option.

On my xp home based PC I installed the complete FSX gold on my second drive then installed sdk from the disks OK.

You should at least get acceleration and fsx appearing in the add/remove programs.

regards

Steve

Last night I uninstalled it from my second hard drive from the DVD. I was able to install FSX in to my main drive with Acceleration. It works a lot better now, loading is faster and I'm able to put the graphics on ultra high. Plus the sound stop lagging. Hehe, so problem solved. Thanks for giving your advice.  ;D

Hi,

I prefer second drive on the PC purely because boot problems are most likely to effect mainly the first drive, my idea is that I'm not going to have to go through installing aircraft again if i only loose the boot drive.

Mine runs OK on the second drive and it's on an aging 3.2 ghz single core Athlon now, although I do prefer my new laptop the wife bought me a month ago.
