Two problems I need help with. 1: I have F/A 18 Hornet and operating system Win 7. Exhaust smoke appears off of port wing tip. How can I move it so it appears from tailpipe? 2: When selecting aircraft from my list of a/c, I get message from several aircraft that reads "There are multiple objects with the same title name. They must have unique title names. What must I do to correct this? I have no clue as how I can solve this problem. Thanks for any info. :-/

It sounds like you are running a FS9 F-18.  You need to edit the [smokesystem] entries in the aircraft.cfg.  You will see entries :

smoke.0=x.x, y.y, z.z, smoke
smoke.1=x.x, y.y, z.z, smoke

In FSX, x.x is the fore and aft direction, which should be good.  y.y is left or right, and z.z is up and down, all usually relative to the CG of the aircraft.  Sio you should have a -x.x of the same value (towards the rear of teh aircraft), a y.y and a -y.ym and the z.z should be close to 0.o

Or, fimply put, swap the last two values in the smokesystem lines.

The second problem is also aircraft.cfg related.  At the top of the cfg you will see the [fltsim.x] hedders.  Eact model or texture will have it's own [fltsim.X] entry.  Directly  under that you will see a "title" entry.  If you have several textures, check to make sure the titles are different.  The problem you are having is because there are duplicate titles, dither in that aircraft.cfg, or, if you have a separate add-on of one type of aircraft, you will have to check them out and rename them.

The error you recieve on going to the select aircraft menue should tell you what aircraft have duplicate titles.  You have to hunt them down and change them.

Note also, that when you edit your aircraft.cfg, be sure you make a back-up forst, and if you've installed FSX in it's default location, you probably need to copy the aircrafrt.cfg to your desktop, make your edits, then copy and paste it back into the aircraft's folder.

That should fix your problems.
