Postby djbozz » Thu Jan 13, 2011 4:41 am

I have recently installed Master of the sky special edition B1900 from disc, The propeller textures hide behind the clouds?, it says on the box FS2004 & FSX, how do I fix this, also I have downloaded a texture pack for the 1900 but this shows up all Black, this is the only plane that this happens with. how do I solve this?
thanks.

Unfortunately, some designers will not tell you that their models were originally designed for FS2004 and the FSX version is 'adapted' to work, NOT native FSX. Hence the prop behind the clouds and black textures.

Sometimes, depending on the particular model, the black textures can be fixed. Most often, the prop problem can't. I have a couple of payware aircraft that are like this and will not buy any more from that designer because

they did not tell me before I bought. On the other hand, A2A's great P-51 had the prop issue and they issued a patch that fixed it. They know how to keep their customers happy, not to mention they build fantastic models.

As to fixing the black textures, I can't help you with it, but someone else might be able to.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.
