Posted: Thu Dec 23, 2010 11:17 pmIs the aircraft.cfg the file I need to go to to change aircraft performance characteristics? For example, can I change the .cfg file of an F18C to that of an F18E?

For an explaination of the sections and entries in the .cfg file--
-If you have the FSXSDK installed, open it's help file, FSXSDK.chm. Look under the SimObjects Creation Kit section for Aircraft Configuration Files.
-If you don't have the SDK, use this link for a web version: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc526949.aspx#mozTocId942782

Posted: Wed Dec 29, 2010 2:46 pmI have Flight Deck 6 installed and one of the problems I encountered was that none of the default aircraft is able to get up enough speed for a successful launch from static or moving carrier except the F18C. The F18E has the same problem and I was just wondering whether I can compare each of the models .cfg and find out what's missing. Or could this be a FD6 software problem?
