No ATC voices

Hey all,

Just bought myself a copy of FSX this afternoon and it runs great. The only problem is that there are no ATC/mission voices. The text comes up and everything, I just can't hear what's being said. I have all the volume sliders full up, too. I know this is a bit of a newbie question, but I've been away from FS for so long, and I haven't had time to dabble.

I just saw this. Try Settings/General/ATC and make sure there is a tick in "use a pilots voice". Also under Sound check your settings there.   :)

If, like me your having problems keeping the ATC  sound volumes stable with FSX Windows 7, try this. It worked for me. Open Control Panel/Sound/Communications, Choose the "Do Nothing" option then Apply. I guess it's reading the ATC as a phone transmission.
