Hello fellow simmers, captjim here again.  BIG PROBLEM.  I had to uninstall/reinstall my FX Gold Edition w/ Acceleration program.  When they asked for the product key, which is included in the box it will not work. Of course Microsoft Support is of little support.  Anyone out there with similar problems.  I might add that I also have FS9 edition and the same problem exists there too.  Help please!!! captjim

I re installed my FS.X on a new HD

My FS 9 has been on two HD of my old machine and two HD's on the current machine and I had no trouble acivating the sims.

If it is a genuine copy I have heard MS are very helpful.at least I know of folks who have had a problem and been helped.

I'm puzzelled by this tbh. :-/

Yes, it is a genuine program, paid good money for it and I would expect it to continue to play well.  I would like to know who and/or where in microsoft to go for help.  captjim :-?

Hi captjim, did you enter the correct product key as there are two key for the fsx gold.

When you say you gave them the product I assume you mean you entered the product key?

When I installed fsx gold, I didn't have internet at home a the time so used their free phone number and it was long winded and automatic but worked first time both for fsx Pro and the XP pack.

What?  :-? No such thing as FSX Pro and I haven't heard of an XP pack.

FSX pro is how FSX Deluxe is called in some countries. It's an official name, for example here in France we call it "FSX edition professionnelle"...

The XP pack is surely the Acceleration pack (like aXeleration Pack...)
