Unable to load saved flights

My PC has Win 7 64 bit with a partitioned HD. I did not install FSX to the default drive of C:\ but put it into D:\FSX. My saved flights are located in C:\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files but do not appear when I try to load them from the Free Flight screen.  Any suggestion on how to solve this? Thanks!

On your Main(Free Flight)screen, click the Flight Planner tab.
Now click on the Load tab.
Your saved flights will be listed. ;)

Hope this helps.

You need to be careful to distinguish between saved flights (.FLT) files, and saved flight plans (.PLN) A flight is saved from within the sim by pressing the semicolon key, or menu File->Save. You open it from the front free flight screen, or from the File menu within the sim. Flight PLANs are opened and saved from within the flight planner, or also from the menus in sim.

A saved FLIGHT includes the complete situation at the time it was saved - aeroplane, position, conol states, weather, active plan etc.

A saved FLIGHTPLAN is just the flight plan, and does not include any details about the aircraft or it's state.

I have the same setup.

I merely put a 'my docs' folder in on the D: Drive with the Flight Sim files.

That way, I don't build volume within the c: partition.
On desktop I have a shortcut for both my docs folders.
