FSX Stock Traffic

Hi:

I had to uninstall the "My Traffic X v 5.3 Professional" traffic add-on due to the high FPS hit the program produces.

I uninstalled the product per the uninstall instructions but, lo and behold, afterwards it seems to have removed all the stock FSX traffic as well. :(

I'm wondering just where the stock FSX traffic files and folders are, and whether it would be possible to reinstall them via the FSX and/or Acceleration discs.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Its been awhile.. but I'd assume you could do a repair install from the main FSX disks. That should do the trick.

I think a repair would be a little more than he needs. It's just one file.  ;)

In your Flight Simulator X folder go to one of these folders

scenery/world/scenery
or
scenery/global/scenery

I forget which one, but in one of those your are going to find a file  xxxtrafficxx.bgl or something like that.  MTX disabled it, you just need to enable it.

You will probably have to go into your folder view options and unclick "Hide extensions for known file types" in order to see the complete file name.

MTX would have named it something like xxtrafficxx.bgl.bak or xxtrafficxx.bgl.passive  whatever it is named you want to rename it to xxtrafficxx.bgl

Thanks, buddy!  Renaming that file (removing the "passive" extra extension) did it.   ;)
