hey guys

just did a fresh install of my fsx due to a virus attack that crashed my comp.

I start up fsx and I get the following error msg :

The MSXML4 SP2 component is not installed. Please reinstall Flight simulator to restore or repair this missing component.

I didnt have any errors during the install. any inputs ??

I got the same error msg, so I did the repair option before I installed add-ons, and haven't got that error msg again.

i suggest to put the installation disk back on. on the opening menu there should have an option named: repair.just run it . it could take care of your problem.

Don't forget to deactivate your antivirus before the installation. Also, if you are running Vista or Seven, try to install with the option "run as administrator".
Finally, since you plan to format your disc, and thus reinstall your Windows, don't forget, prior to install FSX, to run windows update and install all of the updates for .NET Framework, DirectX9 runtimes, C++ runtimes, and instal java runtimes too.
