About the famous fuel truck bug in FSX

Hi all,

I've performed a small search on the forum and it seems that this question has not been answered yet. My apologies if it has.

Anyway, you all know about this famous bug where the fuel truck would refuse to drive to your aircraft, waiting far away somewhere on the taxiway for some seconds, and then making a U turn to return to its original position just like you've never called him ?

I have found the reason. The problem is the way your aircraft sits on the parking. Usually, what I was doing was to stop my aircraft with the fron wheel exactly on the "T" mark on the ground. That's not good, in that way the plane is sitting too much backward. In fact, it's the center of gravity of the plane that is supposed to sit above this T.

So, next time to call the fuel truck and you see it stop and wait on the taxiway for no reason, try pushing your plane a bit forward on the parking place. The truck will start moving immediately towards your position :)

[color=#000000]That's very interesting Daube. I don't fly tubes, but recently I landed somewhere new and a fuel truck started my way as you describe. Then it just stopped and sat there for a while before turning around and going back. And like you, I have always stopped with my front tire on the the 'T'. I'll have to try parking per your instructions to see what happens. Thanks.

In real life, the Front tire does stop on the "T" or "+" for that particular aircraft (some airports have more than one "T" one the same line for different aircraft)

I guess Aces got this wrong as well.
