I run FSX Prof. with XP. Everything works fine except I have never been able to activate the Visual Flight Path on airport approach.

COM1 is adjusted automatically according to your conversations with the tower. NAV1 is not.

I don't fly the heavies but I spend many hours in the Cessna 172 training my landings in foggy conditions.

In FSX (Real life one would get ran over by a heavy/ATC) you can do short hops into Honolulu Intl. (PHNL) training this.

You may want to take off from Dillingham (PHDH).

After take off head climb runway heading till the mountains on your right can be crossed, then turn right and fly till you get the coast line.

Now if you open your FSX map and zoom in on Honolulu (PHDL) runway 4 you will notice the ILS frequency.

Tune this frequency into your NAV1 radio.

Turn left and head towards Honolulu, you will notice your VOR dails has 2 lines, one Horizontal & 1 Vertical.

That horizontal bar should move up and down, if it is above the centre line it means you are below the glide path and if it is below the centre line it means you are above the glide path.

Hope that helps!
