I recently read a thread about FSWC and how awesome it is.I can't get it to do squat.Does it rely on default textures?
The water changes for a split second after I go back to FSX and then immediatly reverts to the way it looked before.Anybody have a similiar problem? Thanks :)
Btw, I'm using Explore Environment if that makes a difference

Keep in mind, FSWC doesn't change your textures, but it changes the shaders the sim uses to make reflections on those textures (the ones for water anyway). Make sure you've set the FSWC options up correctly. You should have done that when you first installed it, but click the "More" button to double check. The help file mentions that there are a few bugs with the "clean install/ Service Pack 1" options, so if that's what you have, that might be the problem. I think I also read that you need to be running your sim's water settings at 2x low at least, but I could be wrong about that.

This is what I do.
First, make sure you sim isn't running. (I know, I know)
Then start FSWC, and move all the sliders to one direction. (your choice which way.) Click "apply", it'll say "settings have been applied". Click ok and "x" out of the program. THEN, it'll tell you "Changes have been made, yadda, yadda" (that's the technical term btw

I never went thru all that.

When you are on the set-up screen, from the icon that should've been set to your desktop, there's a small screen on the left that quite accurately depicts what your water FX will look like.
