FSX and 64bit os

Hello again
I have Vista Home Basic with a 64bit os. I've heard via other sites that FSX is not compatible with a 64bit os.
Now I not really sure how that is cause I know next to nothing about the guts of a os. I do know that my FSX does seem to run just fine and has for the two years since I built this rig.

Any thoughts about this please pass them along.

FSX is a 32 bit application, but runs just as good if not better on a 64 bit operating system.

Thats what I thought too. I've had no issues that I can tell.
Was just seeking the thoughts of others.
Thanks

If your OS is 64bit, and FSX is 32 BIT ONLY. ... it will only use up the amount that it needs to run. The remaining 32 bits, the computer can use for other programs / software that is running in the background.
its just like saying if you have a 500 GB harddrive, and a file only needs 1G, what is happening with the remaining 499Gig?? Some of it can be used as Virtual Memory.

I'm running FSX Accel. on W7 Ultimate x64 and have had no problems what-so-ever, I was running on XP x64 but for some reason on W7 it runs about 30-40% better on higher settings.
