FSX Orignal Version and FSX Gold

Question
When I got my FSX it was just FSX. When Acceleration came out, I got it and added on.
Now with Gold being all in one...Well, the reason for all this is that I've recently found out that the airports data base in the orignal FSX is different than the one in Gold.

Meaning....(and I used O'Hare to find this out), the orignal FSX doesn't show all the ILS freqs for O'Hare when
you use map or nearest airport within the GPS.
If anybody wants to see what I mean and they have gold, let me know and I will send screen shots.

In short....Were I to un-install my current FSX w/Accel and wipeout all traces of it, then install FSX GOLD, can I take my backed up logbook bin and rewards bin files and import them into the newer FSX GOLD.  I also know that I would have to import all rewards rwd files. The logbook and the rewards bin and the rwd files is something I keep (as should we all) backed up once every few days. You never know when puter will spin in and crash and burn. ;D

Thanks for reading this..

I can't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to transfer the reward file and log book over, but then again I haven't actually tried it...

You can copy your log book and rewards bin files to a safe place.  Uninstall what you want and then install FSX Gold.  Find the log book and reward bin files for FSX Gold and replace them with your old ones.  You reward bin is called GrantedRewards.bin and your log book bin is called log.bin

I am on Win7 and my rewards bin is in the same folder as my fsx.cfg file - C:\Users\Your Name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\GrantedRewards.bin while my log bin is at C:\Users\Your Name\My Documents\Flight Simulator X Files

Not quite sure why this would be unless your original was FSX Standard edition. FSX Gold is simply 2 separate programs in the same box,  FSX Deluxe + Acceleration.
