Effect, Texture or Gauge Files

What is a folder that contains a whole bunch of icons which look like a notebook with a torch or flame across it. What file extension do they have? I have several of these folders and I don't know where they belong.

What are the file extensions for the gauges, effect, sound, and texture?

Gauges-FSX default are .cab or .dll. Addons may have .cab, .gau, or may be a subfolder in the \Gauges\
