Hi everybody.
Im currently playing fs2004 with all graphics set to max. Im considering buying fsx but am not sure wether my pc will be able to run it at decent settings.
My system specs are:
Pentium dual core E6300@2.8GHz(OC@3.4GHz)
ATI HD4670 1Gb
2Gb DDR2 800MHz RAM
Gigabyte G31M-ES2L Mobo
Also, probably a stupid question, but is it actually worth me getting fsx or should I just stick with fs2004 :-/
Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have pretty much the same system as well.. But I have the 9800gt card, but its almost the same thing as the 8800gt. What do you have your traffic at and do you use a 3rd party traffic.. I'm going thru nicks windows 7 setup now.

Never been much on traffic - about 10% for aircraft and zip for boats and stuff.

The Radeon 4670 performs at about the level of a smaller 8800 GTS (~512 meg) and less. Trimming the autogen down to Dense, water to about 2x low, and maybe the mesh resolution to about 10 cm, should give you playable frame rates with adequate graphics.
Whether or not it is worth it to switch from FS2004 depends on your wants. I think the main incentive for moving into FSX would be the up-and-coming payware addons, if your into that kind of stuff.

Like a lot of us, I started with FS9 and was perfectly satisfied - for a while.
