The arapaima, pirarucu, or paiche (Arapaima gigas) is a South American tropical freshwater fish. It is a living fossil and one of the largest freshwater fishes in the world. The object of the expedition is to find the "big Mamma", a 600 Kilo Arapaima called "Panchita la gorda". The Expedition leaves Iquitos in Peru flies to the town of "Estrecho" on one of the large affluents of the Amazon River.
