Question to all reading who may have an answer.
How many .cfg files should there be in the appdata/microsoft/Fsx folder?(I have two, one has the notepad icon and is similar to fs9, the other has a peice of paper with capital letters.CFG next to it). Not sure which one I edit when needed.
And my second question, should the .dll files in the main FSX folder

Gus, htahks for the response. So far then, I have not messed up anything. I was begining to think my installation was not 100% correct.
I used FS9 from relaese, and was pretty compotent working with files, add-onn's and all of that stuff, but FSX appears to be as straightforward as a dogs hind leg.
Thank's anyway.

FSX is basically no different from FS9. The way files display in Windows Explorer will depend on your OS & your "Folder Options" settings. You should be able to set the preferences to display files with their extensions as in Angusmax's shot.
