Fsx sound files.

Hi everyone, just popped in to ask if there are any recommended sound files available for the default Boeing & Airbus planes in FSX as I have just recently moved over from FS9 and I miss the Posky sound files that I thought were the best freeware ones I had tried up to date. Do FS9 sound files work o.k. in FSX?
Also looking for Modules folder in my FSX directory. There are loads of .dll files in the main folder, but no actual dedicated foldre to be seen.
I have the full Dluxe Gold with the Acceleration installed, and all working great to my knowledge so far.
I would be extremly gratefull for any help from you guys.

I've never had a problem with any sound files from FS9. Its the gauges that often are not compatible. So have at it with the sounds!

Yes, FS9 sound files do work in FSX. Note that in FSX you can use sound cones. That is, the sound you hear when in front of the engine is different from that of the rear; a very nice effect. FS9 sound files do not have this feature (but you can add it yourself by editing the sound.cfg file).

I really like the payware CFM56-5B Airbus engines from Turbine Sound Studios (FSX version).

I think it is quite reasonably priced.

Thank's for the info guys. Peter the TSS site has some really good looking sound sets for download and reasonably priced.Pity that they did not incorporate them in some sort of package for FSX as there are so many to choose from. Seem to remember Chris Petersons work as being available as freeware on most sites back in the day.
Thanks again for help.

Glad I could help. By the way, TSS does have a free Airbus soundpack you can download from their site. It's not as nice as their payware version, but better than the default sounds. In the Airbus I particularly like the characteristic buzz of the compressor blades.
